Playing Three Card Poker
Though only 3 cards are used, the rules for playing three card poker are usually similar to those pertaining to regular poker and up to six players can take part. At three card poker you are not competing against other players but against the poker room\'s dealer or against a set schedule for particular hands.
- You are given 3 cards facing down and so are all the other three card poker players.
- You can now take part in the first betting round, or forfeit. There is not specific order for betting and any player can open the betting. Like in other poker versions, the rest of the three card poker players can either call or raise the wager.
- Each player now draws 2 cards on the draw.
- Another round of gambling begins and ends.
- Now all three card poker players have to reveal their cards.
- To those who have won ? money is handed out.
Betting at Three Card Poker
Because three card poker is a combination of two games, you can place a bet on either one of the games, both games and you can also use varied sums. You can either bet that your hand will be higher than the dealer\'s (called \'ante\' or \'play\' bets) or that you will have a pair or higher (\'pair plus\').
The \"pair plus\" bet is the easiest and the most recommended betting tactic to use. You don\'t have to worry about anyone else\'s cards and you concentrate on your own cards. To win, all you have to do is get at least a pair. And if you get higher ? you win more money. How? A pair will get you even money, but a flush will pay to a ratio of 4:1, a straight to a ratio of 6:1, a three of a kind to a ratio of 30:1 and a straight flush to a staggering ration of 40:1.
